Overview
The Technical Coordinator will lead the Project Management Unit (PMU) and manage day-to-day project operations to ensure technical coherence, operational efficiency, and high-quality delivery of outputs within scope, budget, and timeline.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee and manage grant delivery, ensuring adherence to scope, budget, and timelines.
- Coordinate inputs from consultants, service providers, and implementing partners.
- Prepare annual and quarterly work plans.
- Act as Secretary to the PSC, preparing agenda, minutes, and follow-up actions.
- Provide technical coordination and guidance to all project outputs.
- Ensure the logical flow of interdependent activities across the project.
- Oversee and review development of county climate adaptation plans.
- Consolidate input for the development of a review report of NAP implementation.
- Ensure technical quality of deliverables.
- Monitor project progress, risks, and results.
- Ensure timely preparation of progress and completion reports.
- Maintain transparent and accountable reporting systems.
- Facilitate effective communication and coordination among project partners.
- Promote inclusive participation of women, youth, and marginalized groups.
- Support organization of workshops, consultations, and the Climate Investment Forum.
- Identify potential implementation challenges and propose mitigation measures.
- Report promptly on any delays or difficulties.
Required Experience
A minimum of five (5) years of progressive work experience in climate change adaptation planning, implementation, or related work.
Qualifications
Master’s degree in environmental science, climate studies, natural resource management or a closely related field from a recognized university is required.
