Overview
Facilitates and coordinates the day-to-day implementation of project activities, ensuring effective communication and partnerships, and contributes to timely and accurate reporting.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as the primary day-to-day coordination focal point for implemented project activities under MAFF or MoE.
- Support planning, organization, and follow-up of project implementation.
- Coordinate internally with technical departments, units, and provincial offices.
- Track implementation progress against approved workplans, timelines, and deliverables.
- Identify implementation bottlenecks and support timely corrective actions.
- Participate in project coordination meetings, planning sessions, and implementation reviews.
- Follow up on agreed actions between FAO and MAFF or MoE.
- Support preparation and periodic updating of annual and quarterly workplans.
- Assist in activity scheduling, sequencing, and budgeting.
- Track implementation progress against approved activity plans.
- Coordinate planning-related matters with the project PMU.
- Take responsibility for tracking all project indicators assigned to MAFF.
- Coordinate compilation of progress reports and field activity updates.
- Maintain updated indicator tracking tools and supporting documentation.
- Coordinate with M&E staff to ensure consistent reporting formats and quality assurance.
- Support preparation of inputs for progress reports, reviews, and evaluations.
- Support tracking, documentation, and verification of in-kind co-financing.
- Coordinate inputs and deliverables of affiliate personnel.
- Ensure alignment between affiliate personnel work and project requirements.
- Track deliverables, timelines and reporting for affiliate personnel, service providers and contractors.
- Flag delivery, compliance and performance issues and support corrective actions.
- Draft and process official correspondence.
- Support the review of documents, reports, and presentations.
- Support preparation of speeches, talking points, and presentation materials.
- Support translation of documents between Khmer and English, as required.
- Ensure ESS and GESI commitments are reflected in project documentation.
- Coordinate preparation of knowledge products and project briefs.
- Perform any other relevant tasks assigned.
Required Experience
- At least five (5) years of relevant experience in coordination and implementation of development projects with government institutions, national or international NGOs, or UN agencies.
- Experience working with UN-funded or donor-funded projects is an asset.
- Demonstrated experience in project implementation, coordination, monitoring and evaluation, reporting, and day-to-day project management.
- Practical understanding of government systems and administrative processes.
- Experience working with government counterparts, including ministries and sub-national authorities.
- Good understanding of national and sub-national government structures and key stakeholders in Cambodia.
- Demonstrated expertise in one or more of the following areas: project coordination and management, monitoring and evaluation, and agricultural or rural value chain development in Cambodia.
Qualifications
• University degree in agriculture and rural development, development management, economics, agri business or related fields.
