Overview
The Resource Mobilization Specialist will support the conversion of existing pledges, establish a periodic replenishment structure, and assist in the development of a long-term resource mobilization strategy and plan for the Fund for responding to Loss and Damage (FRLD).
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and update contributor engagement strategy and plan.
- Produce contributor profiles and briefings.
- Assess the global landscape to identify funding partnership opportunities.
- Support discussions of new funding partnerships and contribution agreements.
- Track and report on conversion of pledges into cash transfers.
- Collaborate to inform the development of the FRLD financial plan.
- Monitor utilization of funds and accumulation of reflows.
- Support the development and implementation of the Resource Mobilization Strategy.
- Support identification, prioritization, and pursuit of resource streams.
- Prepare drafts of relevant materials.
- Contribute to preparation and execution of replenishment processes.
- Contribute to organizing events, conferences, roadshows, and dialogues.
- Coordinate across teams to ensure progress on policy and operational items.
- Monitor the international climate finance landscape and benchmark best practices.
- Support cultivation of partnerships and relationships with contributors.
- Serve as the primary focal point for inquiries from contributing partners.
- Engage with resource mobilization aspects of UNFCCC processes.
- Support efforts to increase contributor visibility and recognition.
- Organize partner events and roundtables.
- Support efforts in ensuring strong awareness of FRLD’s partnerships, achievements, and potential.
Required Experience
- Minimum 5 years of relevant professional experience, ideally in international development and resource mobilization and fundraising.
- Experience working with a range of contributors, including public sector and private sector.
- Exposure to innovative resource mobilization approaches is a plus.
Qualifications
Master’s degree in Political Science, International Relations, Public Affairs, Business, Finance or similar.
