Overview

The Associate Senior Solutions Architect for Data and Analytics leads the design and modeling of application and data architecture for solutions supporting the World Bank's Operations portfolio, ensuring successful delivery to Operations Staff.


Key Responsibilities
  • Lead solution delivery teams in the implementation, maintenance, and operation of data and analytics solutions.
  • Architect process integrations with applications and data platforms in other lines of business.
  • Architect and lead the implementation of data extraction, RAG, predictive and prescriptive analytical patterns.
  • Provide guidance to stakeholders on technical features of digital solutions.
  • Apply technical and business knowledge to architect and supervise solution implementation.
  • Document and communicate technical analyses, designs, and specifications.
  • Work with the Information Security Team to satisfy requirements and support security testing.
  • Identify and evaluate systemic issues and analyze complex issues.
  • Define principles that guide technology decisions and solution decisions.
  • Develop reusable patterns and components.
  • Coordinate with vendors and consultants, overseeing their deliverables.
  • Coordinate with project team members and mentor junior staff.
  • Blueprint field-ready solutions, including selecting the right tech stack.
  • Lead hands-on development of PoCs and MVPs.
  • Ensure new solutions connect with existing World Bank Group systems and external platforms.
  • Define and enforce security, privacy, architecture, and coding standards.
  • Accountable for delivering solutions at speed, scale and quality.
Required Experience
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience leading large teams of developers (both onsite and offshore) and taking full responsibility for the end-to-end delivery of technical solutions.
  • Hands-on technical expertise, with demonstrated ability to step into development or troubleshooting roles.
  • A solid understanding of Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) principles, design patterns including Micro Services, Cloud technologies and tools such as Databricks, Microsoft Data verse, Azure/AWS SAAS/PAAS services, API gateways.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in developing and maintaining large-scale solutions in Data platforms such as Azure, AWS, Databricks; experience in architecting enterprise grade ETL pipelines and data management solutions.
  • Strong Experience with authenticating and authorizing apps using Azure AD, including B2B and B2E scenarios.
  • Proven experience in maintaining development best practices, including version control (ADO/GitHub), logging and monitoring (using Splunk, AppInsights).
  • Hands-on experience in DevOps/DataOps.
  • Experience in designing, developing, and deploying AI models, including both traditional machine learning and advanced deep learning approaches is a big plus.
  • Proficiency with Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) systems and integrating large language models with domain-specific data sources, Hands-on expertise in Agentic AI frameworks, including the orchestration and deployment of autonomous, goal-driven agents in enterprise environments is a big plus.
Qualifications
  • Master’s degree in computer science or a related STEM field (e.g., Engineering, Mathematics or Information Systems) with 8 years relevant experience or bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 10 years relevant experience.
  • Recommended certifications include Certified Solutions Architect (Databricks/AWS/Azure/GCP/OCI), SAFe for Architects (ARCH), SAFe DevOps (SDP)
