Overview
Internship opportunity at the NATO Science & Technology Organization (STO) in Brussels, Belgium, focusing on science and technology's contribution to defence and security.
Key Responsibilities
- Contribute to developing STO corporate communication products, processes, and tools.
- Use, improve, and implement the STO Communication Strategy and Plan.
- Build upon previous work and construct communication products aligned to the STO Corporate Strategy.
- Participate in meetings with NATO S&T stakeholders.
- Support other professional activities of the Office of the Chief Scientist (OCS) as required.
- Apply data analysis skills to extract, analyse, and visualize textual data.
- Apply qualitative research skills supporting strategic analysis of S&T issues.
- Support the identification of synergies among NATO S&T activities, their relation with NATO initiatives, and promising technology trends.
- Contribute to providing executive and administrative support, analyses, and advice related to STB meeting planning, procedures, and topics.
- Contribute to coordination with external key stakeholders and internally in the OCS for STB matters.
- Contribute to STB document management.
- Contribute to workforce planning and reporting across STO Executive Bodies.
Required Experience
- At least two years of university level studies OR equivalent education OR be currently a student OR a recent graduate (degree obtained no longer than 12 months ago).
- Desirable: Bachelor's degree or in the final stage of a Master’s degree relevant to the requested area of expertise.
- Desirable: Previous experience with other international organizations, national administration, research or industry.
