Overview
Support the Education Section in communication, visibility, and knowledge management to strengthen the sharing and use of evidence and innovations in Pacific education.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and format PowerPoint presentations.
- Draft short content for social media, newsletters, blogs, and event materials.
- Support the development of simple visual assets using tools such as Canva.
- Ensure consistent application of UNICEF branding.
- Collect and synthesize thematic information into briefs and one-pagers.
- Draft, edit, and format public-facing briefs and stories.
- Copy-edit proposals, concept notes, and reports.
- Support documentation of learning events and consultations.
- Maintain and organize knowledge management systems.
- Support the Education Section to align messaging across outputs.
- Consolidate and maintain a message bank.
- Support coordination of Education communications planning.
- Flag inconsistencies, gaps, or risks.
- Help maintain the Education Section’s repository of knowledge products.
- Assist in preparing briefs and documentation for internal meetings and events.
- Support day-to-day communication needs of the Education team.
Required Experience
- At least two years of relevant experience in communication, writing, research, education, or documentation (internships, volunteer work, or university projects may count).
- Experience drafting short materials such as briefs, summaries, stories, or social media content.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Communication, Journalism, Education, Public Policy, Social Sciences, Development Studies, or a related field.
