Overview
The Site Engineer provides day-to-day management for the implementation of the Rubble Removal and Debris Management Project, ensuring risk-managed debris removal and recycling for reuse.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist the program team to perform daily supervision tasks for calculation of materials quantities at the different sites and/or factories throughout Gaza strip.
- Support the implementation of field activities to accomplish daily tasks related to the Rubble Removal and Debris Management Project.
- Assist the Program Implementation Unit team in preparing reports as well as coordination with procurement team.
- Maintain a proper filing system for all sites related documents.
- Follow up on the time schedule for implementation and raise relevant issues to senior supervisor.
- Follow up on different materials testing and relevant approvals.
- Re-measure the implemented quantities on site to facilitate payment to contractors.
- Inspection of materials submittals and follow up the approval process till finalized.
- Perform other related duties as may be assigned by the supervisor.
Required Experience
At least 5 years of professional work experience at the national and/or international level in design, coordination, and supervision, of infrastructure projects; experience working in the UN or other international development organization is an asset.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering
