Overview

The Education and Young People Engagement Associate will support UNICEF's education program by contributing to coordinated implementation, routine monitoring, and field-level engagement, strengthening adolescent and youth engagement.


Key Responsibilities
  • Contributes to inclusive PROSPECTS coordination by facilitating structured consultation and representation of refugee youth voices.
  • Supports the implementation of EiE, Access and Inclusive Education portfolio by assisting with follow-up on activity plans.
  • Assists in planning and coordinating key program activities, including teacher trainings and community mobilization events.
  • Contributes to monitoring, reporting and data management by supporting routine data collection.
  • Supports knowledge management by compiling lessons learned and documenting best practices.
  • Contributes to coordination and information management processes for the Education in Emergencies Working Group (EiE WG).
  • Work closely with the Adolescent Development Specialist to support the government in the review and strengthening of national children and adolescent participation guidelines.
  • Assist with data collection and documentation to support PROSPECTS adolescent situation analyses.
Required Experience
  • At least 1 year of demonstrated experience as a volunteer or in community engagement, an asset if this experience is in education programmes or data management.
  • Experience in information management is a plus.
  • Demonstrate experience in working with children, adolescents, and young people

• Secondary education
