Overview
The role of Policy Officer within DG INTPA contributes to the development of expertise regarding the external dimension of EU transport policies and the EU agenda for cities.
Key Responsibilities
- Contribute to the development of INTPA’s expertise regarding the external dimension of the EU transport policies (in all transport modes) and the EU agenda for cities.
- Advance sustainable EU-based solutions to support transport systems and deliver public urban services in partner countries.
- Strengthen national transport and urban policies and wider institutional national and subnational governance and city-level planning.
- Support the design of transport and urban financing models, fee-based for cost recovery operations, local revenue generation, public-private partnerships in transport and urban services, housing and credit enhancement.
- Ensure the smooth implementation of EU-funded action on the ground.
- Align the interests of the EU and its partner countries.
Required Experience
• Experience of working in INTPA, ENEST or MENA partner countries, or with international organisations, multilateral development banks, international engineering firms, contractors, transport industry or operators or urban service providers/utilities would be an asset.
Qualifications
- Have a level of education which corresponds to completed university studies of at least three years attested by a diploma.
- Only qualifications issued or recognised as equivalent by EU Member State authorities (e.g. by the Ministry of Education) will be accepted.
