Overview
The intern will support the update and maintenance of urban policy-related content on the Cities and Urban Platform, with a specific focus on municipal financing and budgeting frameworks in Latin America and the Caribbean.
Key Responsibilities
- Supporting the review and systematization of national legislation governing municipal revenues and financing mechanisms in Latin America and the Caribbean.
- Reviewing and analyzing national legal and regulatory frameworks related to municipal financing and budgeting.
- Identifying, tracking, and documenting recent changes in legislation, as well as mapping new or updated legal instruments.
- Systematizing information according to a pre-established analytical framework.
- Uploading and organizing content in the Cities and Urban Platform.
Qualifications
- Be enrolled in, or have completed, a graduate school programme (second university degree or equivalent, or higher).
- Be enrolled in, or have completed, the final academic year of a first university degree programme (minimum bachelor’s degree or equivalent).
- A field of study that is closely related to the type of internship that you are applying for is required.
- Applicants must be a student in the final year of the first university degree (bachelor or equivalent), Master’s or Ph.D. Programme or equivalent, or have completed a Bachelor’s, Master’s or PH.D. Programme.
- Applicants should have the skills to research, review, and analyze national legislation on municipal financing and budgeting frameworks.
