Overview
This internship focuses on economic affairs within the United Nations Secretariat, supporting regional commissions through meeting attendance, document drafting, and research.
Key Responsibilities
- Attend and take notes of intergovernmental and UN inter-agency meetings.
- Draft official documents including background papers, analysis, sections of reports and studies, and inputs to publications.
- Conduct analysis and research of regional trends and regional dimensions of sustainable development.
- Provide logistical assistance during conferences/meetings of the Regional Commissions.
- Perform any other duties assigned by the supervisor.
Required Experience
No working experience is required to apply for the United Nations Internship Programme.
Qualifications
- Be enrolled in, or have completed, a graduate school programme (second university degree or equivalent, or higher).
- Be enrolled in, or have completed, the final academic year of a first university degree programme (minimum bachelor's degree or equivalent).
