Overview
Support the development, administration, and improvement of the Health Cluster Information System, and assist in data collection, analysis, and dissemination for health response coordination.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the development, administration, and continuous improvement of the Health Cluster Information System (HCIS).
- Monitor system functionality, troubleshoot issues, and maintain user guidance.
- Assist in the design and implementation of ad hoc surveys and assessments.
- Provide day-to-day technical support to partners on data entry and reporting.
- Support interoperability and data exchange by preparing standardized extracts/APIs.
- Support the collection, compilation, and consolidation of health response data.
- Support compilation and maintenance of thematic datasets.
- Review partner submissions for completeness, consistency, and alignment.
- Support partner reporting processes, including orientations and follow-up.
- Conduct routine data cleaning and quality checks.
- Support analysis and visualization of collected data.
- Assist in the design, update, and maintenance of dashboards.
- Support operational analyses as required.
- Support the production and dissemination of Health Cluster information products.
- Assist in responding to information requests from WHO units and external stakeholders.
- Support the maintenance and update of Health Cluster public-facing content and repositories.
- Participate in internal and inter-agency IM meetings/working groups.
Required Experience
- 5 years of relevant experience.
- Relevant work experience in WHO/UN agencies and/or humanitarian organizations is essential.
- Experience working in Gaza and/or the West Bank is preferable.
- Sound skills in information management, data analysis, and basic statistics.
- Ability to support complex information system projects, databases, and web-based tools, including Oracle Database and Oracle APEX applications.
- Experience in data visualization and dashboard development using tools such as Microsoft Power BI (and/or similar platforms).
- Strong attention to data quality, documentation, and controlled data sharing.
- Good analytical and communication skills; ability to translate data into clear operational summaries and visuals.
- Knowledge of WHO/UN programme context and emergency coordination is an asset.
- Good knowledge of WHO / UN rules, procedures and office practices are desirable.
- Excellent interpersonal skills; culturally and socially sensitive; ability to work inclusively and collaboratively with a range of partners.
- Ability to work and adapt professionally and effectively in a challenging environment; ability to work effectively in a multicultural team of international and national personnel.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in information or data management, computer sciences, statistics, applied mathematics, public health, or a related field.
