Overview

This internship supports the Women as Humanitarian Leaders Steering Committee in advancing women’s humanitarian leadership across the Asia Pacific region. The role will contribute to various components of the program, including organizing events and supporting capacity-building activities.


Key Responsibilities
  • Provide secretariat support to the Women as Humanitarian Leaders in Asia Pacific Steering Committee and working groups.
  • Maintain the online platform for document management and information sharing.
  • Support the organization, hosting, and promotion of online webinars, technical trainings, and network meetings.
  • Assist in organizing in-person capacity-building events, conferences, and networking sessions.
  • Assist in organizing the first Asia Pacific Red Cross Red Crescent Women’s conference.
  • Draft documents such as concept notes, online surveys, plans, meeting presentations, promotional flyers and progress reports.
  • Produce basic communication products on the initiative.
  • Carry out other tasks as requested by the Steering Committee or working groups.
  • Support broader tasks under the Women as Humanitarian Leaders (WaHL) initiative as required.
  • Maintain strict confidentiality and refrain from disclosing or disseminating any confidential or sensitive information.
  • Ensure all reports and documents are properly archived and treated as confidential materials.
Required Experience
  • Working or volunteering experience with a Red Cross or Red Crescent Society in Asia Pacific
  • Knowledge of the RCRC Movement
