Overview
Consultant required to assess capacity-building needs for professionals involved in social housing technical assistance in the State of São Paulo. The role supports the implementation of a project aimed at equipping professionals with skills to implement sustainable and equitable housing solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop a methodology for capacity-building needs assessment based on UN-Habitat guidelines.
- Prepare questionnaires for needs assessments.
- Apply questionnaires to professionals and global south partners.
- Map key stakeholders for questionnaire application and interviews.
- Support mapping and selection of strategic partners in Global South countries.
- Compile, systematise, and analyse collected data.
- Prepare an Assessment Report identifying priority topics, international good practices, and opportunities for strengthening and exchange.
- Support the development of the Monitoring and Evaluation Strategy.
- Participate in field work missions as required.
- Complete all indicated training activities, including BSAFE security course.
Required Experience
- A minimum of four (4) years of experience in data collection, analysis, and survey development is required.
- Experience with social housing is desirable.
- Experience with community engagement is desirable.
- Experience in the social area and in coordinating fieldwork, preferably in the public sector, is desirable.
- Previous experience working in the United Nations is desirable.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Architecture and Urbanism, Geography, Economy, Statistics, Public Administration, Sociology or related fields is required, or additional three (3) years of relevant experience to the post, beyond the requirement.
- Postgraduate degree (Lato Sensu or Stricto Sensu) in Architecture and Urbanism, Geography, Economy, Sociology, Public Policy, Public Administration, Social Sciences, Statistics or related fields is desirable.
