Overview
The Consultant for Monitoring and Evaluation will support the implementation of a project in partnership with UN-Habitat, CAU/SP, and ABC. The role involves developing and implementing a monitoring and evaluation strategy for social housing technical assistance projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and coordinate research and data collection activities to identify M&E needs and gaps.
- Conduct participatory sessions to develop a participatory, gender-oriented methodology for M&E.
- Develop a Monitoring and Evaluation strategy for ATHIS projects.
- Validate the Strategies with UN-Habitat central office and the project monitoring committee.
- Develop a methodology handbook detailing step-by-step guidance.
- Organize at least one (1) virtual exchange session with Global South partners.
- Conduct at least two (2) intensive training activities with CAU/SP professionals.
- Apply a learning assessment of the personnel trained.
- Participate in missions as requested.
- Complete all courses and training activities indicated by the supervisor.
Required Experience
- Minimum of ten (10) years of experience in Monitoring and Evaluation is required.
- Experience in project management is required.
- Experience in the social area and coordinating fieldwork, preferably in the public sector, is desirable.
- Experience with South-South Cooperation is desirable.
- Previous experience working in the United Nations is desirable.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Social Sciences, Public Policy, Public Administration, Sociology or related fields is required.
- Postgraduate degree (Stricto Sensu) in Monitoring and Evaluation is required or additional five (5) years of relevant experience to the post, beyond the requirement.
