Overview
The Programme Policy Officer (CBT) will support the coordination and implementation of cash and voucher-based programmes, specifically the SANAD Emergency Safety Nets Project, to assist households impacted by crisis and food insecurity.
Key Responsibilities
- Set up and implement cash and voucher-based programmes, including operational arrangements.
- Supervise day-to-day management and implementation of project activities, including operational issues and awareness raising.
- Interact with project stakeholders and coordinate with ongoing programmes.
- Train and support WFP staff in good practice guidelines.
- Plan monthly activities and ensure project compliance with WFP policies.
- Liaise with M&E unit for operational M&E methodology and formats.
- Ensure field level monitoring of implementation, outputs, and outcomes.
- Complete internal and external reporting obligations.
- Identify lessons learnt and best practices.
- Prepare accurate and timely reporting on activities.
- Provide in-field technical support during beneficiary registration and distribution.
- Ensure registered data and transactions are uploaded to SCOPE daily.
- Provide training and support on registration and delivery through digital systems.
- Perform any other assigned duty.
Required Experience
- At least 5 years of experience in Programme.
- Supported WFP programme implementation and coordination efforts, including voucher/cash assistance distribution planning and implementation.
- Familiarity with WFP SCOPE and COMET Processes.
- Undertaken data analysis.
- Facilitated communication with technical teams (i.e. TEC, IDM, Supply chain, Nutrition, VAM, Protection etc.).
- Contributed to implementation of programmes.
- Observed or assisted with training, field support, report writing, documentation of meetings.
Qualifications
- Completion of University school education.
- A post-secondary certificate in an area relevant to human capital development, project coordination and management and emergency programming/food assistance.
