Overview
The National Programme Support Officer supports the planning, budgeting, implementation, liaison, communications, and reporting for relevant projects and programmes under the supervision of the Programme Support Coordinator.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the coordination and monitoring of operational, administrative and financial aspects of programme support.
- Keep supervisor informed on project implementation status, identify gaps and suggest actions.
- Participate in the development and adjustment of work plans, project budgets, M&E tools and SOPs.
- Coordinate data collection, verification and analysis; update information management systems and social media platforms.
- Coordinate timely preparation and dissemination of project reports.
- Liaise and coordinate with donors, partners, UN agencies, local authorities and government counterparts.
- Contribute to planning, development, organization and delivery of capacity building activities.
- Attend relevant conferences, workshops, working groups and interagency coordination meetings.
- Participate in the preparation of project proposals, communication products, concept notes and planning documents.
- Supervise and provide training and technical guidance to project staff.
- Undertake duty travel relating to project implementation, monitoring visits, assessments and liaison.
Required Experience
- Two years of relevant professional experience;
- Experience in liaising with governmental authorities, national/international institutions, United Nations agencies and non-governmental organizations;
- Experience in working with migrants, refugees, internally displaced persons, victims of trafficking and other vulnerable groups;
- Prior work experience with international humanitarian organizations, non-government or government institutions/organization in a multi-cultural setting is an advantage.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Political or Social Sciences, International Relations, Development Studies, Migration Studies, Human Rights, Law or related fields from an accredited academic institution;
- Master’s degree in the above-mentioned fields.
