Overview
Provides coordination, reporting, and liaison support to Country Offices in the Gulf and the Levant with a focus on crisis response and management. The role emphasizes facilitating cross-regional collaboration, capturing lessons learned, identifying solutions, and supporting recovery planning processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Support coordination of crisis response and management efforts across Country Offices.
- Compile, analyze, and synthesize inputs for reporting on crisis situations, response actions, and recovery efforts.
- Maintain tracking systems for crisis-related actions.
- Assist in ensuring alignment of Country Office responses with regional and corporate priorities.
- Facilitate cross-regional exchange of information, lessons learned, and good practices.
- Promote collaboration across country offices for integrated approaches to crisis response and recovery planning.
- Contribute to the development and coordination of recovery planning processes.
- Assist in identifying solutions and programmatic entry points.
- Provide inputs to strategic discussions on resilience-building and transition from response to recovery.
- Draft briefing notes, situation updates, talking points, and background materials.
- Support the development and quality assurance of knowledge products related to crisis response.
- Maintain organized records of key documents, decisions, and knowledge assets.
- Facilitate the documentation and dissemination of lessons learned and innovative solutions.
- Support institutional knowledge-sharing to enhance consistency and coherence in crisis response approaches.
- Track follow-up actions and support continuous learning.
Required Experience
At least 3 years of demonstrated professional experience in crisis coordination and management is required, along with knowledge of and experience working in the Arab States region.
Qualifications
Master's degree in Business Administration, Public Administration, Political Science, Social Sciences, Management, or any other related field is required. A first-level university degree (Bachelor’s degree) combined with an additional two years of qualifying professional experience, will be given due consideration in lieu of the advanced university degree.
