Overview
The UN Volunteer Nurse will provide primary health care to personnel from participating UN entities, aiming to protect and promote staff health and contribute to a safe working environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide clinical nursing care and patient management.
- Supervise, coordinate, and support nursing activities.
- Maintain emergency preparedness of the assigned clinic.
- Dispense medications and support medication management.
- Collaborate with other medical personnel.
Required Experience
- At least five years of progressively responsible clinical nursing experience, preferably in hospital, emergency, intensive care, or other acute care settings.
- Demonstrated experience in infection prevention and control.
- Demonstrated experience in leading, supervising, and coordinating nursing teams.
- Demonstrated experience in emergency preparedness.
- Demonstrated experience supporting medical logistics and inventory management.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Clinical Nursing, Emergency Nursing, Intensive Care/Acute Care, Infection Prevention and Control.
- A Registered Nurse with a bachelor’s degree in nursing from a recognized institution.
- Valid license to practice nursing in the home country.
- Certifications in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) are required.
