Overview
Support community engagement activities and facilitate participatory processes for a project in Beira, Mozambique.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in organizing community meetings, consultations, awareness activities, and participatory sessions;
- Support communication with community leaders, local associations, women’s groups, youth groups, and other local stakeholders;
- Assist in mobilizing participants for project activities, meetings, and field events;
- Assist in organizing meetings between communities and the project technical team;
- Support day-to-day communication related to community activities and outreach;
- Help follow up routine coordination with local stakeholders and community representatives;
- Document community participation processes, including attendance lists, meeting minutes, and photographic records;
- Contribute to technical and narrative project reports, particularly regarding social and community engagement components;
- Support monitoring of community feedback and perceptions regarding project interventions;
- Make sound contributions to knowledge networks and communities of practice.
Required Experience
Minimum of four (4) years (with a secondary education) or one (1) year (bachelor’s degree) of relevant professional experience including community mobilization and outreach; social participation and stakeholder engagement; field support in development projects; work with communities, vulnerable groups, or local associations.
Qualifications
Secondary education is required; A university degree (bachelor´s degree) in Community Development, Social Sciences, Environmental Studies, Development Studies, will be given due consideration, but it is not a requirement.
