Overview
To provide research and specialized communications services that support the creation of content and services aimed at maintaining and enhancing WFP’s visibility and supporting advocacy efforts.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop an annual social media strategy and content plan.
- Develop social media content for Country Office accounts.
- Lead on coordination with field staff for content gathering and manage the field staff WhatsApp group.
- Develop visuals and videos for social media and events.
- Monitor social media platform trends and performance based on performance indicators.
- Develop a biannual social media performance/analytics report.
- Liaise with the Regional Office and external partners to provide content within regional/global thematic areas and priorities.
- Stay up to date on the latest content trends across platforms and test new formats.
- Produce multimedia content based on communications priorities and strategies, including campaigns and high-level events as required.
- Develop and maintain the Country Office photo and video archive.
- Act as the focal point for WFP’s global multimedia hub.
- Travel frequently to the field for content gathering.
- Carry out interviews with WFP beneficiaries in the field.
- Manage and ensure the receipt of proper consent for all content gathered.
- Develop and lead on capacity strengthening initiatives and trainings for Country Office staff in the area of content gathering.
- Support in the delivery of events and campaigns.
- Design branding for events.
Required Experience
at least 6 years of experience in marketing, Communication, Digital Media, or related fields, in case holding bachelor’s degree, and five years in case of holding an additional degree/certificate.
Qualifications
Bachelor's or equivalent degree in Marketing, Journalism, Communications, Public relations, Media, or any relevant field of study in the related functional area.
