Overview
This internship position is located in the Division on International Trade and Commodities (DITC) at the Trade, Gender and Development Programme. The internship will provide exposure to the United Nations and enhance educational experience while gaining experience in the work of the Organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Attend meetings and support coordination activities including the ones related to the online course on trade and gender, preparing administrative summaries and follow-up notes as required.
- Assist in providing day-to-day administrative and technical support to the team and for the delivery of the online course on trade and gender, including managing course content, learning modules, discussion forums, assessments, surveys, and certificates.
- Support participant management processes, including registration, screening, enrollment, maintenance of participant databases, and preparation of participant profiles, as applicable.
- Assist in providing first-line support to course participants, responding to inquiries related to access, participation, platform use, and course requirements, and escalating issues as needed.
- Support the preparation, dissemination, and management of course-related communications, including invitations, confirmations, reminders, and follow-up messages.
- Assist in the organization, coordination, and servicing of webinars, live sessions, round tables, and other virtual or hybrid activities.
- Support the Monitor participant engagement, attendance, completion rates, and feedback using learning platform tools, and contribute to the preparation of administrative summaries and monitoring reports.
- Assist in preparing inputs and supporting materials for presentations and training sessions delivered by members of the team.
- Support communication, visibility, and outreach activities related to the work programme, including dissemination of course information and results.
- Assist in performing other related duties as required.
Required Experience
No working experience is required for this internship.
Qualifications
- Applicants must meet one of the following requirements: (a) Be enrolled in, or have completed, a graduate school programme (second university degree or equivalent, or higher); or, (b) Be enrolled in, or have completed, the final academic year of a first university degree programme (minimum bachelor's level or equivalent).
- Applicants must preferably pursue studies in economics, law, international relations, data and computer sciences or trade-related fields.
- Should be computer literate in standard software applications.
