Overview
Interns will assist the Outreach Programmes’ team with its daily tasks, focusing on Human Rights and Outreach Programmes on the Holocaust and the 1995 Genocide in Srebrenica.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with conducting research on thematic issues related to the Outreach Programmes.
- Assist with drafting, formatting, editing and posting original website content/news stories.
- Assist with drafting social media content.
- Assist with planning and organization of outreach events.
- Assist with general office support.
- Performing other duties as assigned.
Required Experience
Applicants to the UN Internship Programme are not required to have professional work experience. However, a field of study that is closely related to the type of internship that you are applying for is required. Skills and experience in researching thematic issues related to the Outreach Programmes’ mandates are highly desirable. Skills and experience in writing, social media, graphic design and multimedia production are highly desirable.
Qualifications
- a) be enrolled in a graduate school programme in human rights, international relations, history, Holocaust studies, communications, media studies, or related fields (second university degree or equivalent, or higher);
- b) be enrolled in the final academic year of a first university degree programme in human rights, international relations, history, Holocaust studies, communications, media studies, or related field (minimum Bachelor's level or equivalent);
- or c) have graduated with a university degree (as defined above).
