Overview
Assist in public information activities for the United Nations Police Division within the Department of Peace Operations. The role supports media monitoring, outreach, and communication efforts.
Key Responsibilities
- - Assist in monitoring media coverage of United Nations Police and international relations issues.
- - Assist with media outreach and events.
- - Assist in United Nations Police policy, communication and outreach activities.
- - Research, compile, draft and edit basic information for public information and policy materials.
- - Assist with the maintenance of and help develop United Nations Police Social Media tools.
- - Assist in liaison with police public information focal points in peace operations.
- - Assist in the preparation of policy and outreach material.
- - Administrative duties related to event organization, website management and preparing public information materials.
- - Support day to day activities in the Office of Police Adviser.
Required Experience
Applicants to the UN Internship Programme are not required to have professional work experience.
Qualifications
- - Be enrolled in, or have completed, a graduate school programme (second university degree or equivalent, or higher).
- - OR be enrolled in, or have completed, the final academic year of a first university degree programme (minimum bachelor’s degree or equivalent).
- - A field of study that is closely related to the type of internship is required.
