Overview

Support the Internal Communications team by drafting content, updating internal channels, and assisting with event planning. This in-person internship is ideal for students interested in communications and international organizations.


Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in drafting short, engaging content for internal audiences.
  • Help keep the intranet and internal channels dynamic and up to date.
  • Participate in team discussions and brainstorming sessions.
  • Collaborate with teams to gather stories and contribute to articles.
  • Enhance photographs and visuals using Canva.
  • Support the creation and distribution of a bi-monthly newsletter.
  • Assist with event planning and logistics.
Required Experience

No working experience is required.

Qualifications
  • Be enrolled in, or have completed, a graduate school programme (second university degree or equivalent, or higher); or, be enrolled in, or have completed, the final academic year of a first university degree programme (minimum bachelor's level or equivalent).
  • Familiarity with graphic design tools (e.g. Adobe Photoshop, Canva).
  • Confidence using digital communication platforms such as PowerPoint and SharePoint.

Languages Required
Fluency in English is required.
Languages Preferred
Knowledge of French is an asset.

Remuneration
Interns are not financially remunerated by the United Nations. Costs and arrangements for travel, visas, accommodation and living expenses are the responsibility of interns or their sponsoring institutions.
