Overview
The role involves strengthening malaria surveillance and response in Sanma Province by deploying personnel to support case notification, investigation, and response activities, as well as vector control and community engagement.
Key Responsibilities
- Collect, verify, and compile malaria case data.
- Conduct comprehensive case investigations for confirmed malaria cases.
- Support timely case detection and reporting within 1, 7, 14 days.
- Monitor availability and consumption of malaria diagnostic and treatment commodities.
- Participate in planned malaria elimination interventions.
- Engage communities and local leaders to raise awareness.
- Consolidate surveillance, investigation, response, and community engagement data into monthly reports.
Required Experience
- At least 1 to 2 years of relevant work experience in vector-borne diseases control.
- Working experience in health-related fields, as well as in project or programme work plan design and implementation at the national level in governmental or international organizations, would be an asset.
Qualifications
- Essential: Completion of secondary school, or technical diploma/training in Malaria control activities, communicable diseases, public health or other relevant health-related fields.
- Desirable: University degree in public health, epidemiology, medical entomology or parasitology, biostatistics, or other relevant health-related fields.
