Overview
Support the BIOFIN Country Team with programme administration, budget and expenditure tracking, and communication and reporting activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Arrange, coordinate and manage programme meetings, conferences and workshops.
- Coordinate travel and catering arrangements.
- Develop meeting agendas and programmes.
- Prepare meeting and workshop documents.
- Take notes and prepare minutes of meetings and workshop proceedings.
- Arrange project site visits for monitoring and evaluation purposes.
- Procure project requirements and process invoices.
- Keep systematic track of invoices/receipts and payments.
- Assist with quarterly financial and narrative reports.
- Ensure payments are eligible by UNDP.
- Create payment requisitions and register project expenditures.
- Update project activities and progress on UN QUANTUM system.
- Collect, edit, summarize and present project related information.
- Update project related website/webpages.
- Keep track of information dissemination activities of other project partners.
- Maintain and update project related social media platforms.
- Coordinate and monitor the quality of implementation of communication strategies.
Required Experience
- 7 years of relevant experience.
- Experience in working with international and national experts and institutions.
- Knowledge of the main software packages (MS Office).
- Good reports and policy drafting and writing skills.
- Ability to prepare publications, reports and presentations.
- Ability to work with a multidisciplinary and multicultural team.
- Exposure to environmental issues or biodiversity is desirable.
- Previous experience in expenditure reviews would be an asset.
- Familiarity with government processes is highly desirable.
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Finance, Business Administration, Public Administration, Economics.
- Candidates with a bachelor's degree would also be considered.
