Overview
The Public Health Officer will provide technical guidance, delivery of, and operational support throughout the programming process to facilitate the achievement of concrete and sustainable results.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in arranging health monthly coordination meetings, travel and missions and training.
- Review and analyze health extenders, extender reports and Third-Party Monitoring (TPM) reports, summarize reports and highlight key issues.
- Maintain up-to-date health files and reports, and meeting minutes.
- Assist in monitoring health budget and reporting requirements.
- Follow up on extender monitoring plans and reporting.
- Ensure the timely follow-up of tasks assigned to the health field staff and in outposts.
- Keep track of health-related activities with the other sections and partners
- Timely response to health partner communication and record requests
- Provide technical support. Collect and compile emergency stock and response reports from partners on a monthly basis and submit them to the health officer for review and finalization.
- Maintain contact with emergency partners in the areas of responsibility and ensure UNICEF prepositioned supplies are distributed as per agreed MoU with partners.
- Any other related tasks as may be required or assigned by the supervisor.
Required Experience
3 years of relevant experience in public health
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Medicine, nursing, midwife, public health
