Overview
The Mobile Engineering Lead will take ownership of the Forum's mobile platforms, spanning iOS and Android applications, and drive online engagement with members and constituents.
Key Responsibilities
- Facilitate collaboration, communication, and decision-making between different engineering teams and stakeholders.
- Act as sponsoring coach and technical lead for mobile software engineers.
- Identify and evaluate new technologies and innovations.
- Own technical documentation design and author application-specific technical reports.
- Drive end-to-end product and feature delivery across iOS, Android, and back-end services.
- Define and maintain mobile design standards and best practices.
Required Experience
- 5+ years of relevant industry experience in technical product management or engineering leadership.
- Proven track record of shipping mobile products at scale.
- Demonstrated experience deploying and managing application lifecycles on the Apple App Store and Google Play Store.
- Experience working closely with engineering delivery teams following a structured development process, preferably in an Agile environment, using issue-tracking tools such as JIRA.
- Familiarity with mobile programming languages (Objective-C / Swift, Android / Kotlin) and/or scripting languages.
- Good command of modern back-end and front-end technologies.
- Good understanding of modern services-oriented infrastructure; familiarity with micro-services concepts and Salesforce.com is a plus.
- Design experience including mock-ups and rapid prototyping for mobile-first interfaces.
Qualifications
University-level education in computer science, electrical/mechanical engineering, or a related technical field.
