Overview
The Client Service Intern (CVAC) supports the daily operations of the Canadian Visa Application Centre (CVAC) by assisting with the intake and preliminary handling of Canadian visa and permit applications. The role provides exposure to visa application procedures, client service, and data management.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in providing information to applicants, including distribution of forms and checklists, responding to enquiries, and providing guidance with value-added services.
- Assist in collecting and sorting visa applications and supporting documents, verifying completeness and correctness.
- Input visa application data into the application management software, ensuring quality checks and accuracy of tracking.
- Collect visa and service fees, review payments, issue invoices, reconcile fees, and securely store cash.
- Manage the delivery and collection of applications and passports to/from IRCC specified visa offices and ensure secure return to applicants.
Qualifications
- Be enrolled in the final academic year of Bachelor’s / Master`s level or equivalent in Bilingual Studies (English and French), Linguistics, Communication Sciences, Social Sciences, Administration, International Relations, Law or related field;
- Be enrolled in a graduate school programme (second university degree or equivalent, or higher);
or have graduated with a university degree (not later than 1 year ago) in Bilingual Studies (English and French), Linguistics, Communication Sciences, Social Sciences or related field;
- Excellent communication skills
- Knowledge of customer care.

- High level of professionalism, discretion, and integrity
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Basic computer proficiency (MS Word, Excel, and data entry systems)
- Ability to work effectively both on his/her own and within a team of varied cultural and professional backgrounds.
- Ability to pay attention to details and work under pressure and meet deadlines with minimum supervision.
