Overview

Responsible for managing and leading the monitoring and reporting of mission operations through technology-driven tools and processes for analyzing data to ensure actionable information is delivered to stakeholders for informed decision making.


Key Responsibilities
  • Provide expert advice on leveraging data and business intelligence for assessment, planning, monitoring, and management.
  • Spearhead the Business Intelligence Unit workplan.
  • Administer the implementation of agreement for BI support services.
  • Manage development of BI demands or requirement.
  • Lead the performance reporting based on SCOR metrics and mission specific KPIs.
  • Evaluate operational, analytical, and strategic reporting solutions.
  • Evaluate data captured from Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems modules and other relevant systems of record.
  • Design, validate mission-specific Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), BI dashboards and ensure integration and automation of data flow.
  • Lead the Business Intelligence Unit.
  • Ensure that timely and actionable information is produced.
  • Devise, promote and evaluate analytic models and creative data visualization.
  • Develop, review, evaluate, of business rules, guidelines, standard operating procedures, and other guidance materials.
  • Ensure continuation of the operationalized Supply Chain management concepts, strategies, and the implementation of instructions on Supply Chain Self-Assessment and Performance Reporting.
  • Provide guidance and technical support in formulation of user requirements for IT systems.
  • Lead the execution of functions carried out within the Unit.
  • Prioritize mentorship and technical upskilling of national staff in data literacy and BI tools.
  • Ensure gathering of requirements from various stake holders and business process owners.
  • Develop and promulgate Business Intelligence Guidance and Procedures.
  • Translate business requirements into BI dashboards, reports, and analytical solutions.
  • Acquire, process, and clean data from different sources.
  • Assist in the development and execution of data-driven projects.
  • Provide inputs for continuous improvement and innovation.
  • Provide guidance in implementing change initiatives.
  • Ensure that all Supply Chain Management Service/Supply Chain Performance Management Section/Business Intelligence Unit activities are to comply to the DPKO/DFS Environmental and Waste Management policies.
  • Perform other duties, as required.
Required Experience
  • A minimum of seven (7) years of progressively responsible experience in supply chain management, logistics, procurement, or related fields is required.
  • Experience in Supply Chain performance management is required.
  • Experience working with Excel and Data-Base Management (access) is required.
  • Experience in designing and producing reports in data visualization applications (MS Power Business Intelligence, Qlik, Tableau or similar), or business intelligence tools (SAP Business Objects, etc.) is desirable.
  • Experience in Data Integration is desirable.
  • At least two (2) years of experience in working with Power BI is desirable.
  • Experience in providing diverse Supply Chain support services to large range of clients in a complex, volatile, conflict or post-conflict environment is desirable.
Qualifications
  • Advanced university degree (Master's degree or equivalent degree) in computer science, data science, analytics, statistics, mathematics, supply chain management, information systems, or a related field.
  • A first university degree in combination with two additional years of qualifying experience may be accepted in lieu of the advanced university degree.
