Overview

Internship supporting member states in developing sustainable regional transport connectivity, focusing on maritime transport systems and operational efficiency.


Key Responsibilities
  • - Contribute to qualitative briefs/reports on maritime transport and related issues.
  • - Provide inputs for analysis reports on maritime transport.
  • - Identify and collect information from primary and secondary sources.
  • - Coordinate and liaise with Transport Division experts.
  • - Review, analyze, and compile collected data and information.
  • - Prepare reports/briefs including findings and conclusions.
  • - Prepare presentations on work or findings.
  • - Undertake other work as requested.
  • - Assist in the day-to-day work of the Division if required.
Qualifications
  • - Be enrolled in, or have completed, a graduate school programme (second university degree or equivalent, or higher); or,
  • - Be enrolled in, or have completed, the final academic year of a first university degree programme (minimum bachelor's level or equivalent).

Languages Required
Fluency in spoken and written English is required.
Languages Preferred
Knowledge of an additional official UN language is an asset.
Contract Duration
3 - 6 months

Onsite/Bangkok or Remote Work
Remuneration
Interns are not financially remunerated by the United Nations. Costs and arrangements for travel, visas, accommodation and living expenses are the responsibility of interns or their sponsoring institutions.
