Overview
Provide senior-level technical peer review and quality assurance for key technical products related to housing, neighbourhood improvement, and urbanism, ensuring technical soundness, coherence, clarity, and implementability.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct senior technical peer review of IDSF technical products related to housing, neighbourhood improvement, and urbanism.
- Provide structured written feedback using Track Changes or a peer-review matrix.
- Assess technical soundness, feasibility, and policy/planning coherence.
- Participate in technical meetings and validation sessions.
- Support consolidation of comments and preparation of “ready-to-publish” versions of reviewed products.
- Ensure that review matrices, annotated drafts, and final clearance notes are properly filed and shared.
- Participate in work and follow-up meetings.
Required Experience
- A Minimum ten (10 ) years of progressively responsible experience in housing policy, neighbourhood improvement/slum upgrading, urban planning instruments, and/or preparation of urban investment projects/technical studies is required.
- Experience providing peer review/quality assurance for technical products is required.
- Experience in displacement, vulnerability, or durable solutions contexts is desirable.
Qualifications
- Advanced university degree (Master’s degree or equivalent) in Urban Planning, Architecture, Housing/Urban Development, Public Policy, or related field is required.
- A first-level university degree in combination with at least five (5) additional years of qualifying experience may be accepted in lieu of the advanced university degree.
