Overview
The Payroll and Offboarding Officer ensures accurate and compliant administration of payroll and People&Culture processes, including end-to-end payroll operations and separation from service administration.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensures accurate, timely, and compliant administration of payroll and People&Culture processes.
- Safeguards equity and consistency in the application of UN/UNICEF regulations and rules.
- Accountable for end-to-end payroll operations, including simulations, error resolution, off-cycle runs, retroactive adjustments, and separation payments.
- Manages Separation from Service, Pension & Health Insurance Administration.
- Interprets and approves HR entitlements and benefits.
- Provides expert guidance to management and staff on HR policies.
- Supervises team members.
- Delivers training.
- Drives process improvements to enhance efficiency and service quality.
Required Experience
- A minimum of 2 years of relevant work experience in payroll, human resources, benefits and entitlements or other related fields is required.
- Work experience with the UN or an international organization is desirable.
- Demonstrable experience in delivering strong Payroll & Offboarding solution with strong client focus is desired.
- Work experience in Global Shared/Business Services/Business Support center is desirable.
- Supervisory experience in leading, developing and maintaining high performing team is desired.
- Relevant experience at country level, particularly in development, fragile settings and humanitarian contexts.
Qualifications
A university degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Finance or a relevant area is required.
