Overview
Provide technical and administrative support to country offices, focusing on financial and administrative tasks to ensure smooth program implementation.
Key Responsibilities
- - Review obligating documents and undertake reconciliations.
- - Process transactions in the enterprise resource planning system and follow up on deliverables and payments.
- - Support monitoring of country activities' financial expenditures and budget implementation.
- - Brief staff on budget, financial, administrative, and human resources procedures.
- - Provide administrative support across programme support activities.
- - Assist with human resources administrative tasks, including monitoring staff contracts and acting as leave administrator.
- - Coordinate administrative functions, including office space management.
- - Analyze incoming correspondence and requests, providing background information.
- - Draft and finalize correspondence and reports.
- - Maintain the office's filing system.
- - Provide support for meetings and staff travel logistics.
- - Assist/backstop administrative staff in the team.
Required Experience
- Minimum of five years of relevant experience in the secretarial/administrative field.
- Relevant administrative and financial experience in WHO or in the United Nations system (UN).
- Experience in Oracle-based or other enterprise resource planning systems.
Qualifications
- Completion of secondary education with equivalent administrative certification or training.
- University degree in business administration, social sciences, or related field (desirable).
- Training in the administrative systems of a United Nations agency, fund or programme (desirable).
