Overview

Provide technical and administrative support to country offices, focusing on financial and administrative tasks to ensure smooth program implementation.


Key Responsibilities
  • - Review obligating documents and undertake reconciliations.
  • - Process transactions in the enterprise resource planning system and follow up on deliverables and payments.
  • - Support monitoring of country activities' financial expenditures and budget implementation.
  • - Brief staff on budget, financial, administrative, and human resources procedures.
  • - Provide administrative support across programme support activities.
  • - Assist with human resources administrative tasks, including monitoring staff contracts and acting as leave administrator.
  • - Coordinate administrative functions, including office space management.
  • - Analyze incoming correspondence and requests, providing background information.
  • - Draft and finalize correspondence and reports.
  • - Maintain the office's filing system.
  • - Provide support for meetings and staff travel logistics.
  • - Assist/backstop administrative staff in the team.
Required Experience
  • Minimum of five years of relevant experience in the secretarial/administrative field.
  • Relevant administrative and financial experience in WHO or in the United Nations system (UN).
  • Experience in Oracle-based or other enterprise resource planning systems.
Qualifications
  • Completion of secondary education with equivalent administrative certification or training.
  • University degree in business administration, social sciences, or related field (desirable).
  • Training in the administrative systems of a United Nations agency, fund or programme (desirable).

Remuneration
Annual net base salary starting at USD 16,298 (subject to mandatory deductions for pension contributions and health insurance, as applicable) and 30 days of annual leave.
