Support the BIOFIN Programme in conducting research on nature-related risks and opportunities in financial and corporate sectors.


Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct desk research on sectors not directly dependent on biodiversity.
  • Analyze how biodiversity and nature-related issues influence business operations, strategies, and value chains.
  • Identify nature-related risks and opportunities for these sectors.
  • Explore how companies integrate biodiversity and sustainability into corporate strategies, ESG frameworks, and investment decisions.
  • Compile and analyze case studies.
  • Identify emerging trends in biodiversity disclosure, sustainable finance, and private sector engagement.
  • Summarize findings into clear and structured research outputs.
Required Experience
  • Background or strong interest in finance, economics, business, sustainability, or related fields
  • Experience in conducting desk research and analytical writing
  • Ability to understand and analyze corporate operations, business models, and value chains
  • Ability to assess risks and opportunities from a business or financial perspective
  • Familiarity with ESG, corporate sustainability, or sustainable finance concepts is an asset
