Overview
UNDP seeks Online Volunteers to support the review and quality assurance of the National Biodiversity Strategy and Action Plan (NBSAP) in Jordan by improving readability, coherence, and consistency.
Key Responsibilities
- Review different sections of the NBSAP document for clarity, consistency, and overall quality of language
- Identify and correct grammatical, spelling, and punctuation issues
- Ensure consistency in terminology, tone, and structure across the document
- Verify and standardize acronyms, abbreviations, and technical terms
- Provide suggestions to improve readability and flow of the text
- Support cross-checking of formatting elements (headings, numbering, and references where applicable)
- Produce a structured review of assigned sections using a table format
- Produce a summary note highlighting key revisions and recommendations
Required Experience
- Strong proficiency in written English, with excellent grammar, spelling, and attention to detail
- Experience in proofreading, reviewing, or editing reports, academic papers, or policy documents
- Ability to identify inconsistencies in terminology, structure, and formatting
- Strong analytical skills and ability to provide clear, constructive suggestions
- Familiarity with environmental, biodiversity, or policy-related content is an asset
