Overview
The Economic Empowerment Program Manager will supervise the Economic Empowerment program portfolio, ensuring programs meet performance goals, client needs, and operate within budget and compliance parameters. The role also involves program development, grant writing, and direct supervision of staff.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee and manage Early Employment programs.
- Oversee the implementation and management of youth programs.
- Provide supervision to Career Development, Digital Inclusion, Youth, Financial Empowerment, Micro-Enterprise program and staff.
- Work as part of the IRC San Jose’s overall leadership team.
- Ensure programs consistently meet established grant outcomes and internal benchmarks.
- Provide leadership and supervision to direct service staff.
- Ensure program compliance with funder and agency requirements.
- Produce high-quality program reports.
- Support program sustainability through program development and grant writing.
- Work collaboratively with other agency staff.
- Organize and expand community partnerships.
- Maintain good relations with employers.
- Communicate with Social Services or other local agencies.
- Encourage employment as the pathway to self-sufficiency.
- Recruit and train staff.
- Comply with all policies, procedures, and protocols of the agency.
- Other related duties as assigned.
Required Experience
- Three years related professional work experience; preferably in a non-profit or human services environment.
- Previous work experience in job development with refugees.
- Knowledge of the US job market.
- Knowledge of San Jose environment specifically, is preferred.
- Previous supervisory experience preferred.

• Undergraduate degree preferred; equivalent related work experience may be substituted.
