Overview
Lead a livelihood project focused on enhancing economic self-reliance and resilience of vulnerable refugees and host community members in Egypt through entrepreneurship and employability.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee project implementation by developing detailed plans and ensuring activities align with strategic objectives.
- Lead and manage a team of three direct reports.
- Manage project finances and budgets, including overseeing spending and supporting the development of Project Outlines (PO) in SAP.
- Establish community-based M&E systems to monitor implementation and evaluate job retention and placement success.
- Foster networking and advocacy by building relationships with local government departments, collaborating partners, and community leaders.
- Promote social cohesion by organizing community events that encourage positive interaction between refugees and host community members.
- Ensure inclusive selection criteria are used to evaluate applicants fairly, specifically facilitating the inclusion of people with disabilities and women.
Required Experience
- 3-5 years of experience working in an INGO environment.
- Relevant experience in economic empowerment projects and a solid understanding of community development principles.
- Strong project management and budget management skills, including report writing.
Qualifications
• A Bachelor’s degree in development, business studies, social science, or an equivalent combination of education and work experience.
