Overview
Provide technical expertise to support the implementation of the Global Electronics Management Program, focusing on coordination and knowledge management for reduced e-waste generation and enhanced circularity.
Key Responsibilities
- Formulate and execute technical cooperation projects/programme.
- Execute, monitor and report projects/ programme implementation activities and services.
- Prepare necessary inputs for projects (consultant job descriptions, terms of reference, training, equipment specifications).
- Support advocacy, knowledge management and communication activities.
- Support programme/project specific fund mobilization and stakeholder engagement.
- Support coordination with donor, partner agencies and other relevant projects/programmes.
Required Experience
- A minimum of professional experience aligned with the educational level is required:
- First-level university degree (Bachelor’s): at least 6 years of relevant professional experience.
- Advanced university degree (Master’s): at least 3 years of relevant professional experience.
- Doctorate: at least 1 year of relevant professional experience.
- Working experience, including some at the international level, in project execution or coordination is required.
- Experience evaluating needs, conditions and problems in developing countries, and in technical cooperation projects is desirable.
- Ability to work in a multi-cultural environment is required.
- Experience working with GEF- funded programmes is desirable.
- Experience working with UN agencies and/or international organizations is desirable.
Qualifications
- A first-level university degree (Bachelor’s or equivalent) in economics, international relations, engineering or in a closely related field is required.
- An advanced university degree (Master’s or equivalent) or a Doctorate in the same fields are accepted with a reduced requirement for years of professional experience.
