Overview
Provide technical operational support for facilities, engineering, and real estate functions, ensuring reliable, compliant, and cost-effective infrastructure and services.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee building operations, emergency readiness, regulatory compliance, sustainability certifications, and long-term infrastructure planning.
- Manage service providers and contractors to ensure safety and service quality.
- Guide financial stewardship through budgeting, procurement, and contract oversight.
- Support the seamless execution of facilities and capital improvement projects.
- Promote a safety culture by implementing risk mitigation measures.
- Plan for the upgrade of facilities and engineering equipment operations.
- Oversee routine inspections, preventive and corrective maintenance schedules, and emergency response procedures.
- Implement and control Business Continuity programs during crisis and emergency situations.
- Partner with relevant government agencies in securing permits and licenses.
- Manage the outsourced building maintenance and facility management team and janitorial staff.
- Provide inputs to strategic planning for asset enhancement, sustainability projects, and space optimization.
- Collaborate with engineering teams, consultants, and contractors for inspections, fit out, repairs, refurbishments, construction, and capital improvement projects.
- Act as BRM's Safety Officer by implementing and enforcing safety control measures.
- Ensure that building service requests are attended to promptly.
- Plan and oversee work programs of service providers.
- Verify the outcome of the SLA for each service contract.
- Review service contracts periodically to achieve outputs concerning cost efficiency.
- Support FOS in delivering similar services to other SARD field offices.
- Perform other tasks assigned and reflected in your workplan.
Required Experience
- At least 8 years of work experience building engineering, construction and maintenance services.
- Experienced in implementing or reviewing building health and safety rules and regulations within a facilities management or project implementation environment.
- Demonstrate the ability to provide strategic insight into analyzing complex situations and design well-thought-out solutions.
- Experience organizing multiple tasks and producing professional-quality outputs within the deadline.
- Experienced in using computer-based tools including MS Office, Outlook, SharePoint, project management systems, and financial tracking tools such as MS Project and MS Planner.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in engineering (Civil, Electrical, Mechanical or Architecture), science, or related fields; preferably with master's degree or advanced training in building operations and maintenance and commercial background.
