Overview
Local Consultant to support Armenia's capacity to monitor GCM implementation and strengthen migration governance by establishing a cohesive system for migration and temporary mobility data.
Key Responsibilities
- Support desk-research and review of Armenian literature, data, and resources related to migration data collection and sharing.
- Assist in implementing consultations with stakeholders, including interviews with government agencies and local stakeholders.
- Undertake focus groups with relevant stakeholders.
- Clean and analyze information from focus groups and produce a draft narrative report.
- Support the development of a training curriculum on migration data collection and sharing.
- Deliver training as per the developed curricula.
- Periodically report on implementation of activities and results achieved.
Required Experience
- At least 5 years of proven experience in the development of national policies, particularly in the field of migration data management.
- Experience in EU or EU candidate countries is a strong asset.
- Previous experience in development of migration data management framework in Armenia.
- Experience in migration data management in EU or EU candidate country is an asset.
- Experience in working with public administrations, NGOs, local authorities and institutions/organizations working on migration and temporary mobility data collection and protection at the national and/or international level.
- Experience in working with international organizations and UN agencies is an advantage.
Qualifications
• Advanced university degree (Master’s degree or above) in International Relations, Migration, Public Administration, Public Policy or other relevant fields.
