Overview
This position is a Driver role supporting the Support Services unit for the United Nations Mine Action Service (UNMAS) Syria Response Programme.
Key Responsibilities
- Care and maintenance of the vehicles, such as cleanliness and refueling;
- Perform driving tasks for the UNMAS Syria authorized personnel;
- Comply with transport documentation, i.e., daily logs and daily vehicle checklists;
- Ensure vehicles have the appropriate documentation, i.e., accident forms;
- Carry out radio checks when required;
- Ensure vehicles have a full complement of safety and emergency equipment, including fire extinguishers, first aid kits, etc;
- Conduct vehicle inspections for serviceability and arrange servicing requirements;
- Assistance with office tasks (photocopying, scanning, et.c. as directed).
- Perform any other relevant task assigned by the supervisor or senior management;
Required Experience
- A minimum of Two (2) years of relevant experience is required;
- Hold a valid civilian driver's license is required;
- Previous experience as a driver with an NGO or international organization is desired.
- SSAFE Training is desired.
