Overview
The (Associate) Investment Officer - Private Equity funds role involves assessing fund managers for investment criteria and conducting portfolio supervision. The primary responsibility is to evaluate fund managers in the Middle East & Central Asia and Europe regions.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct detailed financial, operational, and market analyses to evaluate investment opportunities.
- Lead the structuring, negotiation, and execution of private equity fund investment transactions.
- Prepare high-quality investment proposals and presentations for internal committees.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure comprehensive due diligence.
- Monitor portfolio funds and performance, including conducting regular reviews and valuations.
- Take limited partner advisory committee positions in portfolio funds.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with fund managers, portfolio companies, and other stakeholders.
- Represent IFC and CPVPE at industry events, conferences, and meetings.
- Drive measurable development impact by ensuring investments align with IFC’s goals.
- Work on departmental assignments relating to areas such as global portfolio and corporate strategy.
Required Experience
- At least six years of professional experience in private equity, investment banking, corporate finance, or management consulting, with a demonstrated track record of executing complex financial transactions.
- Proven experience in structuring and negotiating investment transactions.
Qualifications
Advanced degree (Master's or equivalent) in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, or a related field from a reputable institution.
