Overview
The Business Operations Associate will supervise the delivery of services and transactions in specialized operational areas and subdisciplines of administrative services, playing a lead role in administering efficient and effective services.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise the delivery of services and transactions in one or more specialized operational areas.
- Play a lead role in administering the delivery of efficient and effective services.
- Quality assure work products and processes.
- Justify and escalate procedural exceptions.
- Facilitate the capture and sharing of best practices.
- Propose work process improvements.
- Share technical knowledge on core service lines.
- Support consistency in approach and compliance.
- Undertake delegated certifications and approvals.
- Manage the delivery of processes and standard transactions.
- Conduct training in business operations support.
- Identify improved service line processes and procedures.
Required Experience
- A minimum of eight years of progressively responsible work experience in administrative support services and transactions in the operational support area.
- Experience in administrative support positions within WHO or another United Nations agency (desirable).
- Experience in Oracle-based systems or another enterprise resource planning system (desirable).
Qualifications
- Essential: Completion of secondary education.
- Desirable: University degree in business administration, or related field. Training and certification in one or more UN operational service areas or systems.
