Overview
Support multisectoral and inter-agency coordination at all levels of government and across sectors to advance public health priorities. Facilitate collaboration with national, provincial, and local authorities.
Key Responsibilities
- Support multisectoral and inter-agency coordination across sectors to advance public health priorities.
- Facilitate collaboration with national, provincial, and local authorities during high-level engagements, strategic planning, and program implementation.
- Strengthen engagement with relevant government line ministries.
- Promote effective communication and advocacy between governmental and non-governmental actors.
- Contribute to the identification of capacity-building needs and support training, mentoring, and knowledge-sharing initiatives.
- Provide inputs and intelligence on opportunities for strategic multisectoral partnerships.
- Act as a neutral broker and arrange the facilitation of multisectoral policy dialogue.
- Support the implementation of WHO activities, with a focus on using relevant frameworks and approaches.
- Support collaboration on priority issues such as strengthening health systems, public health functions, emergency preparedness, surveillance and response.
- Support linkage with institutions, associations and nongovernmental agencies and scientific bodies.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Experience
- At least one year of relevant experience in multisectoral coordination, liaison, and working with government and non-government institutions for improving health outcomes.
- Experience of working in UN or non-governmental organizations for public health emergency response with primary responsibility of liaison and communication.
Qualifications
- A university degree (bachelor's) in social sciences or public policy or communication.
- An advanced university degree (Master's level or above) in social sciences or public policy or communication.
