Overview
The intern will support the Office of the High Commissioner for Human Rights (OHCHR) in fulfilling its mission to protect human rights. Daily responsibilities will depend on the assigned work unit and the intern's qualifications.
Key Responsibilities
- Researching and analyzing subjects on a wide range of thematic and regional issues.
- Draft and summarize reports, background materials, and other relevant documents.
- Preparing for and servicing meetings, seminars, and workshops.
- Performing other related duties requested by the supervisor.
Required Experience
No working experience is required to apply. However, work experience in any of the given fields is desirable. Knowledge or experience working with the UN Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights is desirable.
Qualifications
- Be enrolled in, or have completed, a graduate school programme (second university degree or equivalent, or higher); or,
- Be enrolled in, or have completed, the final academic year of a first university degree programme (minimum bachelor’s level or equivalent), preferably in the area of law, political science, international relations, social sciences or business administration management.
