Overview
Provide assistance in substantive and organizational areas of work for the Child and Youth Rights Team. The role focuses on research, policy development, event support, and outreach related to child and youth rights.
Key Responsibilities
- - Conduct substantive research on child and youth rights issues and draft different types of documents, including talking points and reports.
- Support the development of key messages on child and youth rights issues related to the work of the Team.
- Support the organization of events and other activities organized by the team, including assisting with notetaking.
- Contribute to improving human rights outreach, including through the development of child-friendly communication materials, as well as with web and content management.
- Other activities as required by the Team.
Required Experience
Applicants to the UN Internship Programme are not required to have professional work experience. However, a field of study that is closely related to the type of internship that you are applying for is required.
Qualifications
- Be enrolled in, or have completed, a graduate school programme in Law, International relations, Political Science, Development or related subject (second university degree or equivalent, or higher).
- Be enrolled in, or have completed, the final academic year of a first university degree programme in Law, International relations, Political Science, Development or related subject (minimum bachelor’s degree or equivalent).
- Applicants must be a student in the final year of a first university degree (bachelor or equivalent), Master’s or Ph.D. Programme or equivalent, or have completed a Bachelor’s, Master’s or PH.D. Programme.
