Overview

Manage project activities to fulfill outcomes and objectives in accordance with UNDP standards and best practices, ensuring alignment with sustainable development principles and coordinating with other projects and units.


Key Responsibilities
  • Lead strategic planning, implementation, monitoring, and evaluation of the project.
  • Manage project finances, supervise staff and consultants, and coordinate with stakeholders.
  • Ensure stakeholder engagement, partnership development, policy advocacy, capacity building, knowledge management, and support for resource mobilization.
  • Manage and coordinate implementation of activities based on the project document.
  • Develop project work-plans and monitor progress of implementation and financial delivery.
  • Organize and follow up on meetings related to Project Management and the Project Board.
  • Manage and monitor project risks and maintain a Project Risk Log.
  • Oversee project operations and ensure adherence to UNDP rules and regulations.
  • Prepare project progress reports and ensure timely submission.
  • Manage project tracking in Quantum.
  • Maintain collaborative working relationships with key project partners and Development Partners.
  • Ensure project activities align with UN values and UNDP priorities, including no one left behind, gender equality, and accessibility for persons with disabilities.
  • Communicate project goals and activities clearly to stakeholders and the public.
Required Experience
  • Minimum 2 years (with Master's degree) or 4 years (with Bachelor's degree) of relevant experience in donor-funded project management, particularly in governance area is required.
  • Experience working with international organizations, INGO, or bilateral development partners is desired.
  • Experience on engagement with government institutions, particularly the ministries, law enforcement agencies, or senior government officials, is a strong advantage.
  • Demonstrated experience in project monitoring, results-based reporting, and documentation of outputs is highly desirable.
  • Demonstrated ability in managing resources and budgets, and financial reporting required.
Qualifications
  • Advanced university degree (Master´s Degree or equivalent) in public administration/ Development Studies/ Sociology or any relevant related field is required; OR
  • A first-level university degree (Bachelor’s degree) in the areas mentioned above, in combination with an additional two years of qualifying experience will be given due consideration in lieu of the advanced university degree.
