Overview
The Project Analyst, Short-Term will coordinate effective project planning and implementation, establish partnerships, monitor progress, and facilitate knowledge sharing to support human rights initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Contribute to project planning and budget preparation.
- Coordinate day-to-day project activities and implementation.
- Support subject matter experts and ensure timely delivery of outputs.
- Ensure alignment with UNDP policy and programme management procedures.
- Support operational coordination, including procurement.
- Provide regular updates and flag deviations.
- Facilitate inclusive platforms for project implementation.
- Maintain relationships with implementing partners and stakeholders.
- Develop stakeholder mapping and analysis.
- Prepare briefs on cooperation opportunities.
- Make recommendations for scale-up and synergies.
- Provide technical support to implementing partners.
- Support resource mobilization and project development.
- Review and update project results framework and indicators.
- Develop strategies for data collection and reporting.
- Monitor project implementation and progress.
- Identify, analyze, and report emerging issues, problems, and risks.
- Liaise with Finance team for administrative and financial management.
- Support preparation of corporate, donor, and government reports.
- Provide support for operational and financial closure of the project.
- Organize training, workshops, and capacity building activities.
- Identify, synthesize, and document best practices and lessons learned.
- Participate in knowledge networks and communities of practice.
- Support establishment of knowledge platforms and develop knowledge resources.
- Promote advocacy on development trends and collaboration opportunities.
Required Experience
- At least two years of progressive working experience in the design, management and implementation of project-based activities, preferably related to civil society capacity building and coordination and management of grants (with Bachelor’s degree).
- Previous experience in development projects or related work for a donor organization, governmental institutions, NGO or private sector/consulting firm or previous experience with UN agencies.
- Proven experience in monitoring project activities, including tracking results, conducting field visits, and reporting on project progress.
- Proven experience in writing reports and delivering presentations to diverse audiences.
- Experience in organizing or facilitating public events, workshops, or consultations.
- Previous demonstrated professional experience in working in the Transnistrian region context will be an advantage.
- Proven experience in similar positions in development programmes will be considered an advantage.
- Experience in mainstreaming gender and human rights aspects will be an advantage.
- Valuable exposure and experience in the organization of workgroups, consultation meetings, conferences, and training sessions with multiple participants.
- Experience working with a diverse background team is a very strong advantage.
Qualifications
- Advanced university degree (Master's degree or equivalent) in public administration, international relations, political science, economics, law or other related areas.
- A first-level university degree (Bachelor’s degree) in the areas mentioned above in combination with an additional two years of qualifying experience will be given due consideration in lieu of the advanced university degree.
- Additional training and/or certification in project or financial management would be an advantage.
